Venturing Crew 370:

Venturing is a program of the Boy Scouts of America for high school aged young men and women.  Participants must be 14 – 20 years old and be in at least the 9th grade.

Goals

bullet

·        Learn to make ethical choices by instilling the values of the Venturing Oath and Code.

bullet

·        Experience a program that is fun and full of challenge and adventure.

bullet

·        Become a skilled trainer of Scouts and other groups.

bullet

·        Acquire outdoor skills for high adventure.

bullet

·        Experience positive leadership from and adult and youth leaders and be given the opportunity to take on leadership roles.

bullet

·        Have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive, caring and fun environment.

bullet

·        Have FUN!

Meetings

Crew meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of each month from 7:30-9:00 PM in the Activities Building at St. James United Methodist Church.  We usually plan one outing or campout each month as well.  Contact an advisor for the current schedule.  It changes frequently to meet the needs of our busy scouts!

Dues

·    For registered Boy Scouts in Troop 370:  no additional charge beyond existing troop dues.
For other youth:  $20 for the year’s program

To register

Fill out a Boy Scouts of America registration form (available at any meeting) and return to one of the Advisors along with dues.
